Memorial Day 2001, about 400 residents gathered to watch the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Clubhouse at Worman's Mill and to kick-off the 2001 swimming pool season! Following Mayor Grimes' putt on the putting green, the doors flew open, the band struck up, the caterers emerged, and tours of the new facility began.

Over 500 Fredericktonians, Worman's Mill residents, and other visitors came out on this beautiful Saturday afternoon to see for themselves the new Park Place condominium homes and gardens. Entertainment by The Maryland Trio, light hors d'oeuvres by The Elkridge Furnace Inn, horse-drawn carriage rides by The Frederick Carriage Company, and a drawing for prizes made for a fun time for all!
Worman's Mill Autumn Fest on Behalf of the Habitat for Humanity Charity.

Over this two-day weekend, it was estimated that four to five thousand people came to Worman's Mill to see the exhibits of nearly 100 artisans from the mid-Atlantic region circled around the town square in marquee tents. Six live concerts by the Fabulous Hubcaps, a wildlife exhibit by the National Park Service, a Fresh Fields gourmet food court, magicians, clowns, jugglers, and horse-drawn carriage rides by the Frederick Carriage Company made for a very fun weekend. The community of Worman's Mill should be proud that nearly $9,000 was raised for the Habitat for Humanity charity over the two-day festival!
